      Student Management

"Identifying the right intervention for each student is a key factor to our Professional Learning Communities approach. E2020 is a proven intervention in our credit recovery, summer school and adult learning programs. E2020 provides instant recovery of lost instruction and, therefore, it raises student achievement across all grade levels."

Student and Classroom Management

Classroom management is performed through the EDUCATION 2020 Administrator Console. The administrator console is a unique interface offering instant access and editing capabilities to teachers and administrators. All EDUCATION 2020 curricular and instructional management components are accessible via the Internet through the admin tool which also serves as the interface between teacher and student. Teachers and administrators have the capability to completely manipulate courses and instruction based on group or individual student needs, instructional practices or standards at the topic, lesson and assignment level. Assessments follow assignments to insure all testing is aligned appropriately to the need. Scoring and monitoring of student progress are shown real time as the student completes quizzes or tests and moves through the assigned curriculum. There are also many customizable options like bulletin boards and birthday alerts.

EDUCATION 2020’s Administrator Console provides many types of reporting by default and has been utilized in over 1 million hours of curriculum and assessment in many schools nationwide. The Administrator tool is easily extensible to accommodate other monitoring needs in support of student-focused technology-assisted learning:

  • Web-based per-student and aggregate performance monitoring at the assignment level
  • Grade-earned-to-date reporting
  • Individual student progress alerts to help identify at-risk students before they fall behind their individual progress goals
  • Drill-down into every attempt at each assignment or exercise, including time-domain information on submitted responses to individual questions on assessments
  • Clear illustration to the student and mentor where in the course of instruction a student is in a subject, what they have accomplished and what is left to master
  • Automatic attendance recording, including biometric authentication if desired.
  • Personalization of student records to help build student relationships quickly, such as notification of coming birthdays, anniversaries and other events important to individual students

Failure is not an option
Mastery levels can be set by the program administrators on a school-wide or per class basis. If a student does not attain the mastery level set for assessments, he or she will remediate back through the lesson and is not allowed to move forward. A notice is provided on the Administrator Console so that teachers are aware of the student having difficulty, signaling that additional assistance may be necessary.
